A Few FO's
On the Bear is the Huckleberry Ascot from Interweave's Holiday 2007. It came out the size the pattern said it would but it still seems small. It is for a co-worker and I hope it will fit correctly. If I make it again, I would add at least 20 stitches. I used Paton's Jenny which is a cotton that I bought at $1 a ball about 2 years ago. I started it with a merino but the gauge was making it way too small.

Lovikka Felted Mittens
I love this felted mitten pattern. It is from Esther Smith Bozak's website. There is also a hat pattern with it but I just make the mittens. I haven't made a pair for myself yet, but my mother and my niece each have a pair. I also have a pair along with a scarf in my finished gifts spot but they have been waiting there for a few years and I haven't found a perfect match yet deserving of them. These are for a friend of my mothers from her church group. She asked my mother last year if I knew how to make them as she wanted a pair. I tried to get her to take the ones with the matching scarf but she liked the way my mothers fit her better. Hope these fit her, otherwise, they are mine.

Straight Arrow Scarves
These are the Straight Arrow Scarves for my hairdresser's daughters. These are made out of Encore Chunky. They were a quick lunch knit considering the errors I made and had to rip back almost daily. I made one first for my hairdresser and I just kept messing them up. I think in all the ripping back I did, I probably could have made another out of the time I wasted. They are done though, and I am on to more gifts.

Fiber Twist
Here are my purchases from Fiber Twist. A Fiber Twist bag and 2 skeins of Kangaroo Dyer sock yarn. Plus, the Kristin Nicholas book which I love but it was in another room when I went to take the picture. I was very happy to get to meet her in person and have my book signed. The women at Kangaroo Dyer was also very nice and she had a gorgeous lace weight skein that I am sorry I didn't bring home. But, there is always next year.
I have finished up a few projects and will be posting them soon. I cast on for two easy scarfs today, one for my father and one for my niece. Quick lunch knitting.
