The buttons are on my mothers sweater. I didn't wash it yet, maybe this weekend. I did take it to my guild meeting last week but we were locked out of the church and ended up at the public library across the street in a small room. So, no sock knitting at all. The sleeves are done on the FCEK cover sweater. I am now on the front. I still don't think I will have enough so I am thinking of using one skein and then if I have to, to do the rest of the front in a stockinette with 2 different size needles to make it more open. I plan to wear it with a tank under it anyway. I did start a Bon Voyage tote from IK on Sunday and felted it today. Pictures of my mothers sweater and a few small items plus the tote will be added to my web page once as I add the handles to the tote after it dries.

Instead of working on the socks, I finished my mothers sweater. I just have to wash it and put the buttons on. I have since started the cover sweater from FCEK for me and have been working away on that. I am using up old yarn leftover from another project and hope I have enough. I plan to make the sleeves shorter and crop the top but if I am still short I will look for some online as it is an old, discontinued yarn. I have a guild meeting next week so I will rip back the sock beforehand and ask one of the sock knitters there to check what I am doing and see if they have any tips for me to avoid the holes.

Well, I restarted the socks. I am getting holes in the heel, so I will rip out and try again. I may dig out some worsted weight this weekend and just practice heels and see where I am going wrong. My software came but I haven't installed any of it yet. I was wrong about my mothers sweater. Right now, I have about 75 rows left. When I wrote the last post, is was most likely closer to 85-90. I have four more rows until all the sleeve stitches are added and an inch or two into that I get to start the v-neck so that will make me want to move quicker. Nothing like decreasing all the time to make it move a little.
