The knitting is done on my nephews sweater. I have been sewing it up the last few days and hope to finish tomorrow. In the meantime, I started the Whitby Gansey by Claudia of Countrywool. I have to go dig through the stash tomorrow or this weekend and put away some yarn and dig out the yarn for my nieces birthday sweater. I really want to start an aran after my gansey is done and I am searching through my patterns to see what one I want to do next. Plus, I have to figure out what my Xmas gifts will be for friends next year. Last year was bath mitts and wash clothes in baskets with soap and hand cream. The year before was dressy scarfs.
I am not sure what this years will be, most likely scarfs. I have 8 little cousins that I make hats for every year and I already have them planned, just need to pick up a few more skeins the yarn I am using. I think this will be the last year as I just don't have the time to do them and most of them don't even come over to visit and I have to send them home with the grandparents.

I have spent the last two days making knitted catnip mice for my cats. I have two finished for my two cats and they are enjoying them. I have two more to stuff and finish in June. They will be going to live in VT. My aunt has a cat so she is getting one. Her grandchildren's cat Harry the Horrible will be getting the other. I eventually plan to make a few for the humane society. Beyond that, I am still working on my nephew's sweater and I still have to swatch and practice my cast on tomorrow. Pics of the knitted mousies will be on Wendy's Blog soon and are also under the photos section of my webpage.

The handles have been added to the Bon Voyage tote and pics have been added to my webpage. I am on the last sleeve of my nephews sweater and then it is just the hood and putting it together and it is done. I have the yarn out for the Whitby Gansey and hope to start it Saturday. I have to swatch and practice the Channel Island cast on before Saturday.

The Bair Isle is done and a pictures is posted on my web page (link below). I still haven't added the handles to the Bon Voyage tote. Tomorrow for sure as I am going to bring it to a guild meeting next week. I started the sleeve for my nephew's sweater. I want to start something new and have been going through my AS and Jamieson's books. I may just wait though till Memorial Day weekend when I am getting the Whitby Gansey pattern from Countrywool. I have 3 yarns in the stash that should work and have to start swatching it.

The cover sweater from FCEK is done. It ended up cropped and then the weight of the sleeves would drag the shoulders down. I ended up putting two braids across the back to hold the shoulders in place. The front and back of my nephew's sweater is done. I have put off the sleeves until I finish the KBTH Bair Isle vest that I started Thursday or so. I will have to remember not to start a fair isle after 10PM while watching a Yankees game. It is coming along and I am about 8 rows from added the steeks for the v-neck and sleeves. Pictures are up on my webpage for everthing but the Bon Voyage tote. I have to add the handles soon.

I found another fleece that I had washed part of so I am finishing up that today. It is a fleece from New Zealand, beautiful. Then, to finish washing the last two. Plus I have to put the two that are done through the drum carder. Hopefully, this week.

The Bon Voyage tote is almost dry and I will be adding the leather handles this week. I finished the cover sweater from FCEK. I ended up making the front and back even and then adding about 3-4 inches width on each side up to the shoulder instead of the boat neck that the pattern called for. It makes a nice square neckline. It is very cropped and fell off the shoulders so I added two rows of braid across the back which holds the shoulds in place. I hope to get some bias tape this week to put inside around the perimeter of the neck to keep it from stretching out more. I plan to start a sweater for my nephew or a vest for me tonight or this week. I still haven't gotten to the pictures but I will this week.

I also combed a fleece that I had hanging in the cellar for over a year. It was the first time I washed one in the washing machine and I ended up felting a lot of it so that all got thrown out. I have another fleece washed in the cellar but I did that in dishpans by the lock so they came out fine and are next on the agenda. Then there is one more hanging down there to check out and two more to wash. I want to get them all done before MA Sheep and Wool, that is the goal anyway.
