I got the cutest e-card from my secret pal. I always forget about these cards until I get one.
I am still plugging away on Clapotis. I used yarn that I got in a vest kit but the last skein was lighter and less vibrant than the rest. Luckily, I had bought two additional skeins (to make socks someday) and they are a little closer but still not the same. I am using the sock skeins to finish it up. I will probably make another some day. It is great to use up some yarn in the stash where I have under 1000 yards and not enough to make anything except a vest for me.
The red scarf was done in two days and I did wear it on Wear Red for Women day. Was very strange around the office seeing everyone all dressed in red.
My niece's sleeves are now my lunch project and I am finished with the increasing. I have about 5 or so inches and then I get to decrease for the cap sleeve.
Last weekend I went off to shop for my secret pal. Two stores one day, and then another on Super Bowl Sunday. I will admit all I got at the Super Bowl sale was some Mission Falls 1824 (or whatever number it is) cotton in a dark purple and a pattern to make a sweater. Plus a cute sheep tape measure (not the furry one, this one is just plastic with the casing painted.
Tomorrow, I am off to Yarns Down Under in Deep River to look for some more stuff for my Secret pal. Otherwise, I know what I am getting her and once as I do, that shopping will be done.
I have to look through some patterns for some train knitting as I have to travel to NYC 3 times between now and the end of March for work. Unfortunately, it is go to the office there and home with no time for shopping.
