Ten on Tuesday

The Ten on Tuesday topic for 2/5 is 10 Things You Miss From Your Childhood. The picture above is my mother, sister and I up in VT.
1) My Grandmother - we visited her every Friday night. She was a crocheter.
2) Hanging out with my grandfather, eating half of his tv dinner. We lived in a 2 family house and he lived upstairs till he passed away when I was about 5.
3) Visiting my Aunt and Uncle at their farm in VT. They raised dairy cows and I always liked to feed the calves and play with the barn kitties.
4) Spending every summer at my parent's cottage. They sold it last year but they built the cottage when I was really young.
5) Snow days
6) The Beagles - my father raised beagles for hunting and they had a pen in the backyard. I used to feed them animal crackers - one for them and one for me.
7) Playing outside every night with the neighborhood kids until we would get called in.
8) Fudge - my grandmother used to make this great fudge and no one has the recipe now. We've tried various ones but none are the same.
9) Snowball - our white kitty, the first cat I remember that we had.
10) Ting a Ling - my grandmothers siamese cat. So cute and I have wanted a Siamese since.

ohhow sweet and funny this little girl divvying out animal crackers to the hunting dogs lol! they must have loved you ;). oh how i imss my grandmother's cooking too! my mom cooks a lot of the same dishes and they are quite close but...just not exactly the same :(. i miss my mom's cooking for that matter as i'm so far away. enjoyed reading your ten on tuesday :)
