Ten on Tuesday, I feel .....

Carol's Ten on Tuesday this week is to begin each sentence with the words "I feel. . . "

1)  I feel happy I finished my Ravellenic knitting project above.  It was for a group I'm in, not part of the Ravellenic group on Ravelry.  My friend Kim gave me 2 skeins of the Noro Taiyo Sock yarn and this is skein one.
2)  I feel sad that Downton Abbey is over for the year.  Still need to catch up with parts of some episodes as the Walking Dead is taking over my Sunday nights.
3)  I feel full, we had Turkey Meatloaf for dinner along with yummy homemade chocolate chip cookies for dessert.
4)  I feel ready for Knit Camp though it isn't till July, it's paid for though so that means it's coming.
5)  I feel panicked about what to wear to my Niece's wedding in August.  I have lost over 60 lbs and want to lose some more before I go dress shopping.
6)  I feel excited as I'm planning to go to MA Sheep and Wool this year after a few years break.  Maybe a fleece will be bought.
7)  I feel a little nervous as I'm supposed to be going to NYC yarn shopping in the spring and I've only gone for work things that were usually across the street from Grand Central Station.
8)  I feel excited to hopefully be going back to ME either in the spring or the fall.  LL Bean here I come again along with a trip to Spunky Eclectic hopefully.
9)  I feel like Spring should be here, I'm tired of the snow.
10)  I feel sore as my hip/leg (maybe a nerve thing) has been bothering me for 6 months on and off and now I seem to have maybe a bone spur on the bottom of my foot.  Need to make a Dr. appt when I get to work tomorrow.

Ten on Tuesday

Your Ten on Tuesday topic for this week is 10 Thoughts on the 2014 Winter Olympics.
I enjoy watching them when I can.  We only have basic cable so don't get to watch a lot of the events unless they are on the local NBC station and maybe curling and some women's hockey that's on other channels.

The events I try to catch and watch the most are:
1)  Downhill Skiing
2)  Cross Country Skiing and the Nordic Combined
3)  Biathalon
4)  Skeleton and Luge
5)  Bobsled
6)  Speed Skating - the long events
7)  Ski Jumping

I don't really watch any figure skating or the new skiing (Xgame) type events unless I don't find anything else to watch and then they are just background noise while I'm knitting.  I don't watch the mens hockey as I don't want to watch a bunch of pro athletes.  I enjoyed it much better when it was college students.  (I also don't watch tennis or basketball in the summer games for the same reason).

The other things I watch are:
8)  the stories on the athletes
9)  the stories on things that happen in the area like the one on the nesting dolls.
10)  Curling - but only in short batches as I find it interesting but not enough to watch a whole match.  Usually want to check out the outfits and a little bit of it.

I thought the whole Bob Costas thing was strange and just wonder what he touched over there but then again, I really don't want to know.

Ten on Tuesday

Your Ten on Tuesday topic for this week, in honor of Valentine's Day and February being Heart Health Month is 10 Favorite Things that are Red.

1)  Red Peppers
2)  Red Delicious Apples
3)  My red American Heart Association You're the Cure pen - it writes nice and I really like it.
4)  My red sweater that I wore on the 7th for Wear Red Day.
5)  My red velvety shirt I wore for Xmas.
6)  My Burgundy Red Ryka shoes.
7)  Red Flowers - every year I have a giraffe planter and 3 diamond shaped planters on our front porch.  The colors are decided by what looks good when I'm shopping.  We have red tulips in the garden and had these red flowers one year.
8)  My red earrings that are in the shape of a flower that I bought in VT on a knitting guild day trip years ago.
9)  The red wheel on my Ladybug wheel.
10)  Not anything healthy but I love the burgundy red of my father's car.  They didn't have one that color when I was looking or I'd be driving one.

Ten on Tuesday

According to Carole, "we're going to try something different this week, instead of a topic for Ten on Tuesday, I invite you to write 10 sentences that start with "I am . . . " As in, I am tired. You can elaborate on each sentence or just leave the sentences to speak for themselves."

1)  I am tired..sorry to steal that one Carole but it's true.
2)  I am patiently waiting for the Olympics to start.  Winter Olympics are my favorite-there are so many fun sports to watch.
3)  I am tired of snow even though it's pretty once I'm safely at home.
4)  I am addicted to playing games on the Kindle Fire every night.  Usually Freecell Solitaire and Reball Pro.
5)  I am happy with my Honda CRV, it is pretty and fun to drive.
6)  I am trying to get my knitting projects down to only 4 at a time - a sweater, socks, a shawl and then one project that can be a gift knit or another of one of the other 3 or just some project that I must cast on.
7)  I am trying to spin more in small batches.  My old way was to spin 4 ounces in one day and then ply but my hands would hurt so badly from my marathon session.  Now I want to spin maybe 2 ounces the most in one day.  If I spin 2 weekends a month that is good for me.
8)  I am currently reading Maggie Sefton's Cast On Kill Off - I wait till they come out in paperback and then I wait to read them as once as I'm done, I want the next one but it isn't out yet.
9)  I am trying to get through my large stacks of books but I keep buying more.
10)  I am still getting up weekdays at 5:30 to do exercise tapes.  Have been doing it since July with only a rare weekday off.
