Ten on Tuesday

The Ten on Tuesday topic for 7/19 is 10 Favorite Beach Songs.

These are not necessarily "beach" songs but they are songs that remind me of when I was a teenager at my parents cottage and other times at the beach.

I can't find my favorite summer song.  It's about riding in a car, I thought it was a local CT band but I can't find anything on it by searching the internet.  I Love this song, haven't heard it in awhile, it always made me turn up the radio and sing along.  Now I will be listening to the radio for it.

1)  John Travolta and Olivia Newton John - Summer Nights - from my favorite movie, Grease
2)   Katrina and the Wave - Walking on Sunshine
3)  Otis Redding - Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay
4)  The Go Go's - Vacation
5)  Bananarama - Cruel Summer
6)  Sheryl Crow - All I Wanna Do
7)  Sly and the Family Stone - Hot Fun in the Summertime
8)  The Drifters - Under the Boardwalk
9)  Bryan Adams - Summer of '69
10)  Alice Cooper - School's Out

LOVe Shawlette

The yarn is Sanguine Gryphon in the Chickweed Geometer Butterfly colorway.  Yarn was yummy.  This is the first shawl that I have done that has patterning on both sides.  This one was just the edges and middle section so I just used the written for the wrong side rows and the charts for the right side rows.

Lots of stuff on the needles now, Hamamelis shawl, Tomato sweater (if I don't frog it), a cowl, mittens for The Loopy Ewe's Camp Loopy project 2.  They are out of Malabrigo and I have finished the cuff so far.

Camp didn't turn out that well.  I became sick about 2 hours after arriving and went home at 6:30 the following morning to go to the Dr.  Finally found out it was some sort of bacteria.  I didn't return till Sunday to pick up my stuff.  The owner of the YS played my bingo card one night and won me three prizes, some Lambs Pride bulky (should be enough to make a vest or something), a skein of Cascade 220 and a jewelry case.  I did some shopping there Sunday before I went home, a knitting bag, smaller bag for my mother, a notions case and a covered pad, a skein of Ellyn Cooper yarn, a dragonfly necklace and earrings and a little kit to make a wire shawl pin.

I still don't feel well and have an appointment with a specialist at the end of the month.  Not sure I will make it till then, may have to go back the the specialist office I used to go to though my doctor left and I don't want to.  I'm hoping I will be able to hold out till my appointment.

It's supposed to be very hot this week so I will be shut up in the air conditioned rooms in the house and will be happy to be at work as it is very cold there.
