I wore my Banff to my knitting guild meeting. It was nice and comfortable. The meeting was held at the local Fabric Place. I used my gift certificate plus some cash to get 14 skeins of some Sirdar Country Style DK. I have been going through my Jo Sharp books and may make something in one of them out of it. It is a olivey yellow color, not sure how to describe it. They had some Jo Sharp yarn in the clearance yarn and the Sirdar was almost a perfect match color-wise.

I only have about 3 - 4 inches done on the Must Have and haven't worked on it in a while. Instead, I have started a sweater for my mother. It is a Reynolds pattern and I have some Classic Elite Artisan in the stash to make the same sweater. The back is done and I am about 2 - 3 inches into the fronts.

I did go back to the LYS last Sunday and bought 2 more skeins of the Nova in Olive and then I found another in the purple. I bought a Maddy Laine pattern (2 actually) and I think I will make one with the yarn. I also bought two other patterns for a yarn that I have never heard of before and I will have to figure out substitutes sometime.

I put up a picture of Banff on my webpage at worldnet. I use the page mostly to put up pictures of items I knitted.

It is at http://home.att.net/~suzjb/wsb/html/view.cgi-home.html-.html

Click on Photos. Keep hitting next 5 till you get to the end and it is the last one.

Still working on the Must Have.

Well, Banff II is finished. I ended up just doing a 2 x 2 rib neckline for about 1 - 2 inches. It is acrylic and I don't think it would block so for now, it is done.

I measured my niece and started on the Must Have, about 2 inches into the pattern are done. This is a very fun knit. I miss doing cables and am glad I am making this. Her hat is still not started but she did deliver her fathers yesterday.

I think I will also start a sweater for my mother out of the same acrylic that I used for Banff II. I have some in a denim color that I used for a sweater for my nephew years ago. She is currently wearing a sweater I made many, many years ago out of Patons Diana. The front hangs longer than the back and it has tons of pills hanging off it. The new sweater will replace that and the buttons will be recycled for the new one.

I searched through my patterns and have a few ideas for the Sirdar Nova but haven't decided yet. I still have to decide if I want to run back to the LYS on Sunday and grab the last two skeins of the olive. I may just in case but will do another quick search through some patterns tomorrow night and then decide.

Well, one sleeve of Banff II is done. I ended up ripping them both out (they were partially done) and added in another color. I put 2 rows of the original color at the beginning, changed to the white I had and then about 10 - 20 rows after the ribbing changed back to the purple. I like the way it works and just cast on for sleeve number two.

I haven't measured my niece yet (maybe tomorrow) or started her hat yet. I have to take a picture of the first one so that she can deliver it to her father and he can wear it while skiing in Italy next week.

I bought some yarn at a LYS today while killing time till the library opened. It is some Sirdar Nova in an olive green and a purple. Have to go through the patterns this week to see what I want to make with it. I have a few ideas but want to decide in case I have to go back and get the last two skeins of the green before they disapear.
